Verkhovna Rada appointed Rustem Umerov, people's deputy of the "Holos" faction, as head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. 

282 people's deputies voted for the appointment. Against - 0, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a people's deputy of the Holos faction, told LB.ua.

"The parliament has appointed a new head of the State Property Fund, our colleague Rustem Umerov," he said.

198 parliamentarians voted from "Sluha Narodu", 2 from "European Solidarity", 1 from "Batkivshchyna", 17 from the "Platform For Life and Peace" (former Opposition Platform), 9 from "For the Future", 13 from "Holos", "Dovira" - 16, "Restoration of Ukraine" (former Opposition Platform) - 14, non-factional - 12.

Yesterday, Umerov spoke as a candidate for the post of Chairman at a meeting of the Sluha Narodu faction.

Umerov is a member of the Ukrainian delegation in the negotiations with the russian federation. A delegate of the Kurultai (council) of the Crimean Tatar people, adviser to the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev, was also his assistant consultant.

According to Chestno, in 2016 he assisted in the creation of the Cultural Heritage Fund, since 2014 he has been a co-founder of the Evkaf charity fund.

He entered parliament in 2019.

The Acting Head of the State Property Fund Olha Batova resigned in July. The Fund has not had a full-fledged head since February – then the Verkhovna Rada dismissed the head of the SPFU, Dmytro Sennychenko. The dismissal took place on the second attempt - in January, there were not enough votes for this due to the deputies' buttons not working.
