The U.S. Department of Defence is set to announce another $675 million in weapons supplies to Ukraine on Thursday. The aid package will include rounds for artillery rocket launchers that the Ukrainian military has used to precisely target Russian forces - the Washington Post writes with reference to a U.S. official.
The official, who spoke to The Post on the condition of anonymity, said the rounds for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, or HIMARS, will be accompanied by vehicles and other equipment for soldiers, the journalists say.
Today, a face-to-face meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group will take place at the Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany. As in previous times, the Head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, will preside. He invited defence ministers and high-ranking military officials from around the world to discuss the war in Ukraine and the security challenges facing US allies and partners.
