Over the past 48 hours, crews of the air defence missile battalion have shot down nine out of 11 Shahed-136 UAVs, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyy has said on Facebook.
"This is the result of the high-quality training of our air defence crews by Polish brothers in arms," he noted.
He recalled that Poland had provided these systems which Ukrainian troops use to shoot down Iranian drones launched by Russian. The systems are compatible with Soviet ammunition available to the Ukrainian army.
"Thanks to the Polish brothers!" Zaluzhnyy added.
