Bakhmut, Donetsk Region, is the main focus of the enemy attack in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian soldiers in heavy fighting are holding the line of defence there, even though the Russians are using all available weapons, colonel Serhiy Cherevatyy, spokesman of the Eastern troops grouping, reported at a briefing. According to him, the enemy is not conducting offensive actions except in Bakhmut and Avdiyivka sectors.
"It is in these two areas where it is conducting them aggressively and consistently," he said.
Ukrainian Armed Forces continue the counteroffensive in the Svatove-Kreminna area of Luhansk Region. The occupiers are trying to defend themselves in this area, but their work is not entirely effective. Cherevaty added that among the dead there are " newly mobilized" Russians - their corpses are already returning to the cities from where they were drafted.
"It is characteristic that as a rule, a person arrives within 10 days, two weeks at most. That is, without much training or motivation, they fight poorly, get under our fire and die," he said.
The spokesman of the Eastern grouping of troops stressed that Russia promised the mobilized high-quality training before the front, but this is not happening.
"A week to ten days at the most, and people are thrown to the front, just to fill in all the gaps," he said.
Recovery of the de-occupied territories continues.
"First of all, stabilization measures are carried out in each liberated place - detecting the enemy remnants, demining all the premises, providing assistance to those who need it immediately," he said.
After that, the Armed Forces of Ukraine facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid and the return of the Ukrainian legitimate authorities.
