The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine doesn't rule out that the Russian army may resort to terrorist attacks, in particular, blowing up residential areas during the retreat. Russians may cause critical damage to settlements before returning them under the control of the legitimate authorities, the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff Oleksiy Hromov said at a briefing. He added: taking into account the latest information about the "dirty bomb", it is possible that the occupiers may orchestrate explosions at the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant.
"With the aim of its final disabling and provoking a local catastrophe in which they will blame Ukraine. Even the consequences of a man-made disaster predicted by the Russian military were foreseen taking into account the wind direction, and, accordingly, the spread of the threat in the West, which also indicates that the occupier is preparing another crime against humanity," he said.
