Russian occupiers are carrying out illegal construction at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, the acting chairman of the State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation and chief state nuclear and radiation safety inspector of Ukraine, Oleh Korikov, has said at the briefing.
According to him, Ukraine has no information on what is being built exactly.
Therefore, the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine contacted the International Atomic Energy Agency on the matter.
"The Inspectorate has already asked the IAEA to check what is happening at the ZNPP. So that we get more comprehensive information," Korikov said.
