As a result of Russian strikes, Ukraine's energy system has suffered new damage. This caused a shortage of electricity capacity in the amount of 30% of consumption, the press service of DTEK reported on Telegram.
"To prevent a complete blackout of the capital and central regions of Ukraine, the state energy company NPC Ukrenergo introduces unprecedented emergency restrictions," - the statement reads.
It is noted that the emergency shutdown schedules drawn up earlier are currently not relevant.
"Unfortunately, more severe and prolonged power cuts will be introduced in the coming days. DTEK power engineers together with specialists of NPC Ukrenergo, other emergency services and state authorities are doing everything possible to stabilize the situation as soon as possible," DTEK said.
