Russian occupiers are creating unbearable living conditions for residents in Kherson, forcing them to leave the city, the first deputy chairman of the Kherson regional council, Yuriy Sobolevsky, has said.
"Orcs seek to complicate the living conditions of the city's population as much as possible, forcing people to leave it. Closing of some retail outlets and pharmacies, limitation of supplies, reduction of medical institutions. All this is happening against the background of the created atmosphere of fear with the help of fakes about the possible destruction of the city by the Armed Forces of Ukraine," said Sobolevsky.
He added that despite the difficult situation, most residents refuse to leave the city, hoping for its liberation by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to the intelligence, the occupiers are bringing newly mobilised Russians to occupied Kherson. Russian troops are preparing for urban warfare.
According to the chief of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate, Ukrainian defenders will be able to recapture the city by the end of this year.
