More than half of Kherson consumers are connected to the local combined heat and power plant and have central heating resumed, Naftogaz of Ukraine has said on Facebook.
According to the report, as of 8 December, 60% of the company's consumers in Kherson now have heating.
"The municipal services of the city continue to repair the networks to supply heating to the rest of the houses. Currently, they shoulder the main work," it said.
The company explained that due to significant destruction it is difficult to restore supply to all homes at once.
"Every day, despite the shelling and constant power outages, specialists continue to make titanic efforts to return basic services to citizens," Naftogaz noted.
As of 8 December, power supply in Kherson was restored by 88%.
