The secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danilov, has said on the air of NTA TV that Ukraine will not ask anyone for permission to launch retaliatory strikes against the enemy, RBC-Ukraine reports.

"We will be capable of anything. Because as far as our interests are concerned, we will not ask anyone where we need to hit the enemy. Because we have the enemy starting from the borders that are on our territory and ending with Vladivostok," Danilov said.

He also reacted to statements by some representatives of Western countries who advise Ukraine not to aggravate the situation. He noted that the situation had been aggravated for years.

Danilov added that Ukraine cannot but respond to the aggressor who constantly encroaches on its territory.
