The 295th day of the Russian large-scale invasion has begun. The enemy continues to focus its efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka areas. It is trying to improve the tactical situation in the Kupyansk, Lyman and Zaporizhzhya areas, according to the morning update of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, reports Ukrinform.
In other areas, the enemy is trying to restrain the actions of Ukraine’s Defence Forces. Over the past day, Ukrainian forces repelled the attacks of Russian invaders in the areas of Verkhnokamyanske, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Vesele, and Maryinka of Donetsk Region.
The enemy carried out 31 air and eight missile strikes on the civilian infrastructure across Donetsk Region and carried out 61 attacks employing MLR systems. There is a threat that the occupiers will launch air and missile strikes on civilian infrastructure throughout Ukraine.
In Volyn and Polissia areas, the situation has undergone no significant changes as no signs of enemy offensive groups being formed have been detected.
In the Siversk area, the enemy fired at the Lypivka and Khrinivka Districts of Chernihiv Region.
In the Kupyansk area, the positions of Ukrainian troops were fired upon in the vicinities of Chervona Zorya, Krasne, Starytsia, Dvorichna, and Novomlynsk settlements in Kharkiv Region.
In the Lyman area, the enemy fired their tanks, mortars, barrel and jet artillery at the vicinities of Makiyivka, Ploshanka, and Chervonpopivka in Luhansk Region and Yampolivka, Torske, and Vedmezhe in Donetsk Region.
Vicinities of 17 settlements were shelled in the Bakhmut area. Among them are Verkhnyokamyanske, Spirnye, Bilogorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ozaryanivka, Severnye, and Opytne of Donetsk Region. The invaders also carried out an airstrike near the city of Bakhmut.
In the Avdiyivka area, the positions of Ukrainian troops in the vicinities of Avdiyivka, Vodyane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Georgiyivka and Maryinka were hit by enemy fire. An enemy airstrike was recorded near the latter.
In the Novopavlivka area, the occupiers fired at Vuhledar, Prechistivka, and Neskuchne in Donetsk Region. An airstrike was carried out in the area of Vuhledar.
In the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson areas, the enemy continues to shell the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure along the right bank of the Dnipro River. The areas of 19 settlements were affected. In particular, Vremivka and Novopillya of Donetsk Region; Hulyaypilske, Orihiv, Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhya Region; Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Novotyahinka, Tokarivka, and Yantarne of Kherson Region, as well as the city of Kherson.
According to available intelligence, the occupiers mined land plots and the coast of the Konka and Chayka rivers within the Oleshkiv urban territorial community of Kherson Region. The enemy forcibly evacuated citizens of Ukraine who lived on Velykyy Potemkynskyy Island near Kherson to the territory remaining under Russia’s control.
The occupation authorities are working on trying to connect the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant to the Russian power system.
Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation conducted 13 strikes on the areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration and five strikes on the positions of the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems. Ukraine’s missile and artillery forces hit two Russian command and control points, eight manpower and arms clusters, and a fuel depot.
