The two hundred and ninety-ninth day of the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day, the units of the Defence Forces repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of Stelmakhivka, Makiyivka, Chervonopopivka and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Region and Verkhnokamyanske, Bakhmutske, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka, Krasnohorivka, Oleksandropil, Maryinka, Pobeda and Novomykhaylivka in Donetsk Region.
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian occupiers have launched 4 missile and 7 air strikes with the usage of Shahed-136 type unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as 55 MLRS attacks. Settlements, civilian infrastructure and the civilian population were affected.
In the Volyn and Polissya areas, the situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.
In the Siversk area, the settlements of Hremyach in Chernihiv Region and Bilokopytove in Sumy Region were hit by mortar fire.
In the Slobozhansk area, the enemy shelled the vicinities of Chervona Zorya, Strilecha, Hlyboke, Starytsa, Vovchansk, Volohivka, Chuhunivka, Fiholivka, Dvorichna and Novomlynsk settlements of Kharkiv Region.
In the Kupyansk area, the vicinities of Yahidne, Kislivka, Kotlyarivka, Krokhmalne and Berestove in Kharkiv Region and Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk Region were hit by fire.
In the Lyman area, the enemy shelled Makiyivka, Ploshchanka, Chervonopopivka, and Dibrova of Luhansk Region.
In the area of Bakhmut, the enemy fired tanks and rocket artillery at the vicinities of the settlements of Verkhnokamyanske, Spirne, Berestovka, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Hryhorivka, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka, Kurdyumivka, Diliyivka, Ozaryanivka, Northern and Opytne of Donetsk Region.
In the Avdiyivka area, shelling was recorded near Avdiyivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhaylivka, Donetsk Region.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson areas, the enemy hit the areas of Temyrivka, Chervone, Novoandriyivka, Mali Shcherbaky, and Plavni settlements of Zaporizhzhia Region with rocket and barrel artillery; Chervonogryhorivka and Nikopol-Dnipropetrovsk and Sadove, Kherson, Komyshany and Kizomys of Kherson Region. There are casualties among civilians.
The occupiers continue to search the population in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya Region. Special attention is paid to mobile phones and smartphones.
The number of invaders in the settlements of Melitopol District has increased. In addition, the Russian occupiers are considering the possibility of involving former police officers who have defected to the enemy to participate in hostilities.
During the past day, the Ukrainian aviation made 9 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and 3 strikes on the positions of the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems.
At the same time, our defenders shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Shahed-136 type.
Units of missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces of Ukraine hit the control post, the area of manpower concentration, 2 enemy ammunition depots, as well as the counter-battery Zoopark radar station.
