The day before the missile attack on 16 December, the Russians used an attack with Iranian drones to detect the location of our air defence and adjust the next missile attack, the spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ihnat, has said on the air of the telethon, Ukrinform reports.

"This, in particular, is done in order to find out where exactly those Shaheds were shot down, where exactly our air defence got them. Because Shaheds are shot down at night and first of all it is done by anti-aircraft missile systems. It is clear that they determine their location and then make adjustments for their missile attacks," Ihnat explained.

According to him, Russian troops usually use all available weapons in one day, as it happened on 16 December.

"Yesterday almost everything was used. There are different types of missiles and different types of ground, air and sea-based missiles, which were used. In addition to Shaheds, they were launched the day before," he said.
