Ukraine needs about 17,000 big industrial generator sets to get through the winter, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said at a government meeting.
He noted that currently small and medium-sized Ukrainian entrepreneurs have already imported 500,000 low-power generators. But about 17,000 large ones are also needed.
"We hope to cover part of these needs with the help of our partners," the prime minister said.
Shmyhal stressed that energy assistance to Ukraine would continue.
"In Paris, we saw an unambiguous consolidated position in this regard," he noted.
"In this context, an important event this week was the visit of the Ukrainian government delegation to Paris. Two powerful events took place there. The conference Solidarity with the Ukrainian People initiated by the presidents of Ukraine and France and the Forum on Economic Sustainability and Reconstruction. In addition, we had a number of other important meetings and high-level communications," Shmyhal added.
