The Kyiv subway resumed operation at 7.30 am on 17 December, mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said.
Also, according to him, water supply was restored to all residents of the capital.
"Half of Kyiv residents already have heating and we are working to restore it to all residents of the city. Currently, two thirds of Kyiv residents are supplied with electricity. But the schedules of emergency shutdowns are applied. Because the shortage of electricity is significant. And power engineers ask us to continue saving," Klitschko said.
A day before all lines of the Kyiv subway were stopped following a massive Russian missile attack. Underground stations worked as shelters.
Closer to midnight on 16 December, Klitschko reported that the main works to restore water supply in Kyiv were at the final stage.
