Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported that air defences were operating in the capital. The Russians fired on the city with strike drones, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles. There are two casualties: a 68-year-old resident of the capital and a 22-year-old police corporal, an employee of the metropolitan police. According to various sources, the number of victims in the capital ranges from 13 to 16.
At least ten of them were hospitalised, while the others were treated on site or on an outpatient basis. According to police, both women were killed in the Podilskyy district, where a dormitory was hit.
“The Russian army attacked the city with missiles and UAVs. Residential buildings, dormitories, a service station, a garage cooperative, vehicles, shopping centre premises, roadways and tram tracks were damaged,” law enforcement officials said.
As of 8:20 a.m., destruction and falling debris were reported in the Holosiyivskyy, Darnytskyy, Desnyanskyy, Dniprovskyy, Obolonskyy, Podilskyy, Solomyanskyy and Shevchenkivskyy districts.
Law enforcement officers have received more than 100 reports from residents regarding damage to property as a result of the enemy attack.
According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, residential, medical, educational, commercial and transport infrastructure has been damaged in eight districts of the capital.


“About 400 rescuers and 90 units of firefighting, rescue, engineering and robotic equipment from the State Emergency Service are involved in clearing the rubble and eliminating the consequences of the shelling. Teams of climbers and pyrotechnicians are working. Police officers are securing the perimeter,” he said.
In the Podilskyy district, the Primary Health Care Centre No. 1 was almost completely destroyed as a result of the enemy attack.
In the Shevchenkivskyy, Darnytskyy and Solomyanskyy districts, calls for doctors have been recorded. In the Shevchenkivskyy and Darnytskyy districts, there are fires in high-rise buildings.

In the Shevchenkivskyy district, according to Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, a non-residential building was hit and debris fell on open ground.
In the same district, debris from a UAV fell on the roof of a residential building and near a petrol station. In the Darnytskyy district, a downed drone fell in the courtyard of a building.
A truck is on fire in the Holosiyivskyy district. In the Podilskyy district, debris fell and windows were broken in a residential building. In the Obolonskyy district, debris from a drone fell.
Due to the air quality, Kyiv residents are asked to close the windows in their homes after returning from shelters.
As of this morning, there were traffic restrictions in place.
