On the night of 19 December, at 00:46, the Iranian kamikaze Shahed drone flew over the site of the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant in the vicinity of the nuclear facility, Energoatom (Enerhoatom) reported on Telegram.
The National Nuclear Energy Company of Ukraine (NNEGC) emphasizes that the overflight of the Shahed over the South Ukrainian NPP near the nuclear facility is an absolutely unacceptable violation of nuclear and radiation safety.
"NNEGC appeals to the IAEA and the entire world nuclear community, informing them about the fact of the drone's flight over the nuclear power plant site. The company once again calls for preventing nuclear facilities from being exposed to the risk of attack by the Russian army and posing a threat to nuclear and radiation safety of Ukraine and the world", the statement said.
