MP Halyna Yanchenko has written a statement of resignation from the Servant of the People party, as being in the same party with Olena Shulyak means tolerating her disgusting behaviour, she said.
"The way Olena Shulyak acted with regard to the wounded soldier is despicable. To come to the defender in the hospital, not to visit him, not to support him, but to settle the score regarding her corruption bill 5565 is a spit in the face of all our soldiers, all volunteers, all those who risk their lives on the front line for the victory of our country," Yanchenko, who is a deputy head of the Servant of the People faction, said.
She added that a person who holds a public office has no right to behave like this.
Yanchenko recalled that this is not the first unworthy act of Shulyak.
"She has previously allowed herself to slander volunteers, blackmail deputies and despise colleagues," Yanchenko said.
As previously reported, Ukrainian serviceman Oleh Symoroz said that the head of the Servant of the People party, Olena Shulyak, recently broke into the hospital where he is being treated to argue over the draft law on reforming urban planning.
