Russian occupational troops shelled Kherson Region again. As a result, there is one dead and two wounded, the Prosecutor General's Office reports.
"Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings on violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code) has been initiated," the statement reads.
According to the investigation, on the morning of 20 December, a local resident died in one of the urban-type settlements of Kherson Region as a result of another shelling by Russian servicemen.
Two civilians were hospitalized in the city of Kherson with injuries sustained as a result of residential areas shelling. Residential houses and apartments, outbuildings, administrative buildings, a printing house, a pre-school, power lines and a gas pipeline were also damaged in the city.
Massive enemy shelling does not stop.
Prosecutors, investigators and experts are working at the scene and continue to document the crimes of the Russians.
