The UN has allocated an additional $20 million from the Ukrainian Humanitarian Fund to support Ukrainian civil society. The money is to be allocated to 300 representatives of civil society, NGOs and volunteer groups, Voice of America reported citing UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine Denise Brown.

She stressed that during 10 months of the war, these groups exhausted their resources and need help.

All in all, since 24 February, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has allocated $252 million for operations in Ukraine. This amount includes $192 million from the Ukrainian Humanitarian Fund and $60 million from the Central Emergency Relief Fund.

More than $55 million of the total UN assistance went to provide generators for hospitals, centres for the temporarily displaced and other critical facilities. This money is also used to purchase winter clothes and goods for Ukrainians who faced an energy crisis in the middle of winter.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, humanitarian organizations in Ukraine have received more than $ 3 billion - about 75% of the stated need.
