President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the United States of America on Wednesday morning in Washington, where he will meet US President Joe Biden and address Congress, Yevropeyska Pravda has reported, quoting CBS.
Earlier it was reported that he was flying by an American military plane, presumably from Poland.
According to the preliminary schedule, at 9 p.m. Kyiv time, Biden will meet Zelenskyy in the White House, after which they will hold a bilateral meeting.
It is expected that at 11.30 p.m. Kyiv time the presidents of Ukraine and the United States will hold a press conference, and later - at approximately 2:30 Kyiv time on 22 December, Zelenskyy will deliver an address to both houses of Congress.
On 21 December, US President Joe Biden ordered the allocation of $1 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
