The situation with the power supply in Kyiv is still challenging. Due to Russian strikes, the main problem is delivering power to consumers, said the Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Serhiy Popko.

"The situation in Kyiv with energy supply remains difficult. The main problem is not the generation, but the delivery of power to consumers. It is because of the destroyed networks and nodes that most Kyiv residents cannot get light in their homes. Therefore, there are still only emergency power outages, the duration of which cannot be regulated. Power engineers, repair crews, and utilities are working around the clock to restore the damaged power system. It takes time. We will stand against all odds. We believe in our victory," he stressed.

The last strikes on the energy infrastructure of the capital region were made by Russians on 19 December. The occupiers used Iranian drones. On 20 December, almost all of Kyiv was cut off from electricity supply, boiler houses were shut down alternately, and there were interruptions in the water supply.
