Paris is in talks with its Italian partners to explore possible supplies of Mamba air defence systems to Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron has said in an interview with Le Monde, Wall Street Journal and Lebanese An-Nahar.
Macron siad one of the priorities was to stop the Russian bombing of civilian infrastructure in Ukraine by arming Kyiv with air defence systems.
Ukraine has already received Crotale air defence batteries from France. Now Paris is negotiating with its Italian partners to study the possible supply of Mamba air defence systems.
The Elysee Palace condemns the fact that Iran continues to supply Moscow with drones for strikes on Ukrainian territory.
"This is just a kind of multilateralism of terrorism, which, unfortunately, is being established," Macron said.
