The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has said a former Ukrainian MP, a member of the Kharkiv group of the pro-Russian Party of Regions, has been served a notice of suspicion over his public support for Russian armed aggression against Ukraine.
Although the service did not name the person, the man on the photo it shared is MP Dmytro Svyatash.
After the start of the full-scale invasion, he publicly supported Russia and justified the occupation of eastern and southern Ukraine.
In August, in one of his social media posts, he called on residents of occupied parts of Kherson, Zaporizhzhya and Kharkiv regions to support the invaders and apply for Russian passports. In exchange, he "guaranteed" they would be treated loyally and their loans would be "written off".
The ex-MP is suspected of encroachment on territorial integrity of Ukraine. He was put on a wanted list.
