Two Italian journalists said they were deliberately attacked by Russian troops in Kherson, ANSA reports.
"They said that their car was targeted 'deliberately', but they managed to escape safely," the statement said.
One shell damaged the car.
Reporter Claudio Locatelli said that he received a minor wound, which caused him to lose some blood.
"If I had opened the door, I would have lost my leg or worse," - the journalist said.
The car was clearly marked as a journalist vehicle, and the shelling was deliberate.
In September, Italian journalist Mattia Sorbi was injured in the temporarily occupied Kherson Region. Russian occupiers blamed Ukraine for the accident.
