Currently the most difficult situation on the eastern front is in Soledar, Donetsk Region. The enemy fired 86 times at the town using various types of artillery over the last day, said Serhiy Cherevatyy, spokesman of the Eastern grouping of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"During the day they hit Soledar 86 times with different types of artillery and therefore the situation there is very difficult, the most difficult on the eastern front," noted Cherevatyy.
He added that the enemy concentrated the best units of PMC Wagner in the Soledar area, striving to show at least some results. However, Russian methods of warfare remain outdated and small tactical successes of the enemy are achieved with great effort and heavy losses among its personnel.
Yesterday, Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar stated that the enemy launched a new powerful assault on Soledar.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the Ukrainian military withstanding regular fierce assaults of the occupiers in Soledar. Now the city is completely destroyed, the Russians are suffering huge losses.
