A combined search and rescue team of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has left for Turkey, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has said.

Almost 90 rescuers and 10 search and rescue dogs will help Turkey deal with the consequences of the devastating earthquakes.

"Our specialists have the necessary experience and equipment. Their skills will definitely help our Turkish colleagues. We express our condolences to the people of Turkey and the families of all the victims. We share your pain and remain by your side in this trouble," Klymenko said.

On 7 February, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Zelensky announced the decision to provide humanitarian aid to Turkey.
