Zelenskyy appoints Klymenko, Malyuk to Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff

On 14 February, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Chief Vasyl Malyuk and Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, according to Presidential Decree No. 77/2023.

"To approve the following persons as members of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff: Klymenko Ihor Volodymyrovych - Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine; Malyuk Vasyl Vasylovych - Head of the Security Service of Ukraine," the document says.

At the same time, the membership of Denys Monastyrskyy, who died in a helicopter crash in Brovary, is terminated.

Zelenskyy recently appointed Klymenko to the National Security and Defence Council and confirmed Malyuk as a member. Earlier, they had been appointed as full-fledged heads of the Interior Ministry and the Security Service, respectively.
