After the Ramstein meeting in Brussels, US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin said he had no news on the supply of combat aircraft to Ukraine, reports the European Pravda.

"[As for the fighter jets], I don't have any announcement to make today," Austin said.

He emphasized that the allies will continue to work with Ukraine to address its most urgent needs and reminded that Ukraine is preparing for a counter-offensive in the spring. According to him, cooperation with Ukraine is now focused on how to train the Ukrainian military to use the new systems and deliver them to the battlefield.

Austin also added that the US does not see Russia amassing its aircraft in preparation for a potential large-scale air attack.
