Duda meets with Ukrainian military in Poland

The Polish president noted that the Ukrainian military is defending not only Ukraine but Poland, too.

Polish President Andrzej Duda met with the Ukrainian military in Poland, the Polish president's office reports on Twitter.

"In Sietoszow, Lower Silesia, President Andrzej Duda met with Polish instructors and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who are training on Leopard 2 tanks in the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade," the statement reads.

Most of the Ukrainian tankers studying in Poland have recently fought in Donbas. And they will soon return there again.

Andrzej Duda emphasized that Ukrainians are protecting from the Russian enemy Poles, too, so Poland is helping Ukraine by supplying modern equipment and teaching them how to use it.

According to him, in addition to Polish instructors, the Ukrainian military is also trained by Norwegian and Canadian specialists.

Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed with Duda Ukraine's defence needs and the situation on the battlefield. Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Andrzej Duda in Rzeszow.

In turn, U.S. President Joe Biden is looking forward to a trip to Poland, which is a strong ally and a major supporter of Ukraine. Biden wants to personally thank the Poles for their support of Ukraine.
