Over the past day, Ukrainian soldiers repelled attacks by Russian occupiers in the vicinity of 20 settlements.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, these include Hryanykivka and Synkivka in Kharkiv Region; Stelmakhivka, Chervonopopivka and Kreminna in Luhansk Region; and Vyyimka, Fedorivka, Dubove-Vasylivka, Rozdolivka, Paraskoviyivka, Berkhivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Vesele, Vodyane, Maryinka, Pobeda, Novomykhaylivka and Vuhledar in Donetsk Region. The enemy is focusing its main efforts on offensive operations in Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, and Shakhtarske areas.
Volyn, Polissya, Siversk, and Slobozhansk areas: no offensive groups of the adversary were found. The vicinities of settlements of Kolos (Chernihiv Region), Mefedivka, Bachivsk, Esman, Kharkivka, Zarutske, Kindrativka, Yunakivka, Zapsillya, Mayske, Mezenivka (Sumy Region), Veterynarne, Hraniv, Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Krasne, Borysivka, Vesele, Starytsya, and Krasne Pershe (Kharkiv Region) were shelled.
Kupyansk and Lyman area: the adversary shelled more than 15 settlements. These include Hryanykivka, Kucherivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove (Kharkiv Region), Pershotravneve, Nevske, Chervonopopivka, Kreminna (Luhansk Region), Kuzmyne, Spirne, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk Region).
Bakhmut area: more than 20 settlements came under fire, including Razdolivka, Zaliznyanske, Paraskoviyivka, Berkhivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Kurdyumivka, and New York (Donetsk Region).
Avdiyivka and Shakhtarske areas: artillery shelling was reported in the vicinities of 20 settlements. These include Avdiyivka, Vodyane, Vesele, Pervomayske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Bohoyavlenka, Velyka Novosilka, Zolota Nyva, Vuhledar, and Neskuchne (Donetsk Region).
Zaporizhzhya area: 25 settlements were attacked, including Malynivka, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Kamyanske, and Prydniprovske (Zaporizhzhiya Region).
Kherson area: enemy artillery fire hit Kherson and the vicinities of 25 settlements, including Mykhaylivka, Novooleksandrivka, Havrylivka, Zmiyivka, Vesele, Kozatske, Ivanivka, Tokarivka, Mykilske, Sadove, and Antonivka (Kherson Region).
On 17 February, the Ukrainian Defence Forces launched 5 air strikes on concentrations of the enemy, as well as 1 air strike on the position of an anti-aircraft missile system.
Air defence forces shot down 6 enemy UAVs. According to preliminary information, they were 5 Lancet UAVs and 1 Zala UAV.
At the same time, missile and artillery units hit 3 concentrations of the enemy manpower and 1 S-300 anti-aircraft missile system at its firing position.
