During an online speech at the Munich Security Conference, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that there is no alternative to Ukraine in the EU and NATO.
The president noted that Ukraine had already gained the candidate country status and was preparing to start negotiations on EU membership. Moreover, Ukraine is already integrated into the European economy, logistics and energy sector.
"There’s no alternative to our victory. There’s no alternative to Ukraine in the EU, there’s no alternative to Ukraine in NATO, there’s no alternative to our unity. Therefore, there is and will be no alternative to getting rid of Russian aggression once and for all, liberating the land, liberating people," the Ukrainian president said.
Zelenskyy also emphasized that when Russian weapons shoot at Ukrainians, they are already aimed at their European neighbours.
A recent poll showed that most Europeans believe in Ukraine's victory. 61% of Europeans are certain that Ukraine will win.
