On the morning of 18 February, explosions occurred in Khmelnytskyy, the Head of the Khmelnytskyy Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Hamaliy, reported on Telegram.

According to the Head of the Mykolayiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, two "unidentified targets" left Mykolayiv Region in the northwest and headed to the west of the country.

Kim later noted that the military reported the downed missiles.

Update 11.40. The Mayor of Khmelnytsky, Oleksandr Symchyshyn, said during the telethon that three educational institutions and about 10 multi-storey residential buildings were damaged by enemy shelling.

According to Symchyshyn, almost half a thousand windows and balconies were destroyed, some equipment and one private vehicle were damaged. 

Two people were slightly injured.

The mayor added that electricity, heating and water supply were cut off in some of the city's neighbourhoods but are now being gradually restored.

On 17 February, Russians launched 10 missile and 29 air strikes against Ukraine. They fired 69 times from multiple launch rocket systems.
