The Korean International Cooperation Agency has handed over 100 modern Ssang Yong pickup trucks to the State Emergency Service (SES).
"These vehicles will be distributed among pyrotechnic units, mountain rescue units and operational coordination centers of the SES," said SES head Serhiy Kruk.
He clarified that with the outbreak of a full-scale war in Ukraine, the SES has many times more tasks. Therefore, the list of priority needs to strengthen the SES capabilities is constantly updated.
Currently, the SES has an urgent need for machinery and equipment, namely life support modules, special, fire and rescue and engineering equipment, special protective equipment, means for demining and neutralizing explosive devices, etc.
