Verkhovna Rada appoints Oleksandr Kamyshyn Minister of Strategic Industries

On 21 March, the Verkhovna Rada appointed former Ukrzaliznytsya (UZ) Head Oleksandr Kamyshyn as Minister for Strategic Industries, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko said.

"The former head of Ukrzaliznytsya, Oleksandr Kamyshin, has become the new Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine," the MP wrote.

In 2021-2023, Oleksandr Kamyshin was the chairman of the Ukrzaliznytsya board, from which he resigned with plans to head the UZ office in Europe. After leaving, he became a non-resident advisor to the President of Ukraine.

Prior to heading Ukrzaliznytsya, he was a manager at Dragon Capital and SCM, and a founder of Latifundist Media, Grano Group, AgTech Farm and Fortior Capital.
