There are signs that Russians are preparing for "goodwill gestures" in the occupied territory of Kherson Region, Natalya Humenyuk, a spokesperson for the Southern Defence Forces, has said on the air of the telethon.
"Even the residents of Kherson Region, both on the right bank and left bank, know a 'people's sign' - when the occupiers start putting on civilian clothes and carefully packing everything they looted and sending their property over the 'border' in exchange for ammunition, it is usually a preparation for those same 'gestures'," said Humenyuk.
However, she emphasized that such "gestures" are caused by high-intensity combat work by Ukrainian defenders.
"We talked about clearing a strip of at least 30 km in order to make life easier for the right bank," she added.
