On the afternoon of 13 April, the Russian army attacked Kherson Region, including Kherson. In Zmiyivka, a shell hit a school, killing a local resident.
In Kherson, a man caught in the middle of the shelling sustained deadly injuries. At least two civilians were wounded and hospitalised, the Office of the Prosecutor-General reported on Telegram.
"Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson and Beryslav district prosecutor's offices, a pre-trial investigation was launched over violation of the laws and customs of war (parts 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," it said.
