Ukraine needs air defence systems, 155-mm and 105-mm artillery and ammunition, and 120-mm mortars, Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has said at a joint briefing with his Spanish counterpart.

"We are also interested in the experience and expertise of the Spanish Navy, especially in amphibious operations," he said.

The minister specified that Ukraine is interested in new modern aircraft as they are part of air defence.

"The priority is the F-16, followed by the Swedish Saab. I am convinced that an aircraft coalition will also be born. It is a matter of time, money, pragmatic and political decisions. It is important to break the dominance of Russian aviation in the air," he said.

Reznikov said that he has no doubt that Ukraine will win this war, but that it is necessary to think ahead about security in the Black and Azov Seas. The commander of the Ukrainian Navy arrived in Spain to discuss naval cooperation together with Reznikov. Ukraine is interested in anything that can enhance the capabilities of the Ukrainian Navy.

According to NATO estimates, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had used up between 4,000 and 7,000 artillery shells as of March. Reznikov said that Ukraine needs 90-100,000 artillery rounds.
