During the day, Russian troops carried out 28 air strikes and fired about 10 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said.
There were injuries among the civilian population, private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.
The Russians are focusing their main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka directions. Ukrainian defence forces repelled more than 45 Russian attacks in these areas over the last day. The fiercest fighting continues for Bakhmut and Maryinka.
Russian troops continue to suffer heavy losses on the battlefield, the General Staff said. All medical facilities in the temporarily occupied territory are overcrowded with wounded troops.
"As a result, the enemy is forced to use the educational institutions in the temporarily occupied territories for its own purposes. For example, in the village of Mistky, Luhansk Region, the invaders converted a local school into a military hospital. There are a large number of wounded Russians there. In addition, there is a great shortage of medicines and bandages in all medical institutions of the occupiers," it said.
Over the past day, the aviation of the Defence Forces carried out 11 strikes on the clusters of Russian personnel and military equipment. They also shot down two reconnaissance UAVs of the Merlin type and one Orlan-10 drone.
