On 19 May 2023, the National Anticorruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialised Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) served a notice of suspicion of making false statements in the 2020 e-declaration to a current member of the Ukrainian parliament. Proceedings were opened under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the NABU press service has said.
According to the investigation, the MP failed to declare a property located on her land plot - an unfinished house with an area of more than 167 sq m near Kyiv. She acquired the land in 2020, and the unfinished building on it was not mentioned in the sale and purchase agreement.
Based on the results of the e-declaration check, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) pointed this out, and the MP was given the opportunity to correct the inaccuracies. However, even after that, the MP decided not to disclose the property and submitted a corrected declaration without the relevant data.
Based on the NACP's conclusion, in autumn 2021, the NABU and the SAPO launched an investigation. They obtained sufficient evidence that the house had already been built on the land plot at the time of purchase.
According to Glavkom, the person in question is Olha Saladukha, chairwoman of the subcommittee on high performance sports and sports activities of the parliamentary committee on youth and sports, and an MP from the Servants of the People party.
