Amid the news from Belgorod Region, the Russian authorities are evacuating nuclear munitions from the region, Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate has told the news telethon.
"The Belgorod-22 facility, a nuclear munitions storage facility, is also being urgently evacuated by the Russians. It is located near Grayvoron," Yusov said.
He noted that this storage facility contained some of the ammunition for nuclear weapons.
Yusov noted that the Russian leadership is panicking, as evidenced by the evacuation of the local population.
"The evacuation of the Belgorod-22 military facility is also a reaction. We understand that to evacuate this kind of facility, you need to have a plan, involve serious equipment and a large number of personnel," Yusov said.
Earlier, Yusov said that the situation in Russia's Belgorod Region is an internal conflict, and Ukraine is not involved in these events.
