The Russian army is rotating and regrouping troops in the Bakhmut sector. The Ukrainian Defence Forces have suspended their advance to perform other military tasks, Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar has said on Telegram.
"The enemy is not currently conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut sector. However, it continues shelling and air strikes. Also, the enemy troops are being replaced and regrouped in this area," Malyar said.
Ukrainian troops control the southwestern outskirts of Bakhmut.
"In the north and south of Bakhmut's suburbs, the movement of our troops was suspended a few days ago to perform other military tasks. They are actually fulfilling them," she pointed out.
