Russia used Iskander ground-launched ballistic and cruise missiles to launch a missile attack on Kyiv and the region.
Air defence systems shot down all targets, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyy has said.
"A total of 11 missiles were launched: Iskander-M and Iskander-K from the northern direction. Air defence forces and means destroyed all targets," he said.
This is the second massive air attack on the capital since the beginning of the day. At night, the enemy attacked with cruise missiles and drones. There were no hits on Kyiv. There is destruction in other regions.
Before receiving modern air defence systems, Ukraine was unable to shoot down ballistic targets.
