President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Kyiv prosecutor Oleh Kiper as head of the Odesa regional state administration.
Later Zelenskyy introduced the newly appointed official at a meeting with the military command and heads of law-enforcement agencies in the region.
"I held a meeting with the military command and heads of law-enforcement agencies of the region on the current situation in Odesa Region. I introduced the newly appointed the head of the Odesa regional state administration, Oleg Kiper. This is a priority region of our independent state," the president said in a statement on Telegram.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the restoration of energy infrastructure damaged by Russian shelling and ensuring its stable functioning, the restart of key enterprises under martial law, meeting the needs of internally displaced persons, and rehabilitation of the military.
