Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, about 6,000 men have tried to leave Ukraine on forged documents, the spokesman for the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, said at a briefing at the Media Centre Ukraine.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, about 6,000 people have been exposed at checkpoints, carrying forged documents. Over 13,000 male citizens were detained in the 'green' section of the border, trying to illegally get out of Ukraine bypassing checkpoints," he said.
Demchenko also said that most attempts to cross the border on forged documents were recorded on the border with Poland, as well as outside the checkpoints, in the "green" section, on the border with Romania and Moldova.
According to him, in June attempts to cross the border illegally decreased, compared to May, by about 28%.
