Defence Forces are gradually advancing south of Bakhmut. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Defence Hanna Malyar. Combat continues in the area of Klishchiivka, Kurdyumivka, Andriivka.
"The fights are quite tough. The enemy is firing intensively," the government official said.
She added that in the north of Bakhmut the Armed Forces of Ukraine are repelling enemy attacks.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russians try to repel the Ukrainians from the their positions. Today, our defenders repelled several attacks without losing positions.
In the Lyman direction, several enemy attacks were repulsed in the Serebryansky forest area.
The spokesman of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Andriy Kovalyov said that the Defence Forces continue the offensive operation in the Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdyansk directions. They foothold at the reached lines, use means of counter-battery combat and hit enemy targets with artillery.
