The State Border Guard Service (SBGS) reported the intercepted threats from a Russian ship to a merchant ship in the Black Sea.
"The warships of the aggressor continue to behave insolently and defiantly in the Black Sea, violating all norms of international maritime law," the message states.
It is noted that yesterday the border guards managed to intercept the conversation of the occupiers, who communicated through an open channel with a ship passing near one of the seaports of Ukraine, and said: "I warn you about the ban of movement to the ports of Ukraine. As well as the fact the ship heading to the ports of Ukraine, is considered by the Russian side as a potential transportation of military cargo. The country under whose flag the ship is sailing is considered involved in the conflict in Ukraine. Over".
Andriy Yermak, the head of the President's Office, reacted to the situation.
"Russian warships threaten civilians in the waters of the Black Sea, violating all norms of international maritime law. These are the methods of terrorists. An effective tool against terrorism is force," he wrote.
Yermak noted that the international community should condemn the actions of the Russians. A system position is required.
The International Maritime Organization recently called on Russia to stop threats to commercial shipping in the Black Sea. The IMO welcomed Ukraine's efforts to ensure the safety, stability and freedom of international shipping.
Great Britain believes that Russia can intensify its campaign to destroy Ukrainian food exports. The Foreign Affairs Ministry of the United Kingdom, James Cleverley, noted that the Russian Federation can attack civilian ships in the Black Sea for this purpose.
And the spokesman for the National Security Council of the White House, Adam Hodge, said that the US has information that the aggressor country has installed additional sea mines on the approaches to Ukrainian ports, and also believes that the Russian Federation is preparing an operation under a foreign flag against the export of grain from Ukraine.
