Viktor Medvedchuk, a former MP from OPFL, registered the non-governmental organization "Another Ukraine" (“Druhaya Ukraina”) in Russia. Former Ukrainian journalist Denys Zharkyh became the chairman of the executive committee, and Medvedchuk himself became the chairman of the council.

This is reported by the journalists of "Skhemy" (Radio Liberty).

According to the data in the register of legal entities of the Russian Federation, in June the public movement "Regional public relations movement "For the development of civil society "Another Ukraine"" was created.

The address of the organization is Moscow, Arbat, Kemarnytskyi Lane, 9. Besides, "Another Ukraine" declared intellectual property rights to the trademarks: "True Ukraine", "The voice of another Ukraine" and "Another Ukraine".

It is noted that "Another Ukraine" is a public non-religious organization, not a political one. Therefore, they cannot take part in elections to local councils or to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

Denys Zharkykh is a former Ukrainian journalist. He has been a political commentator on Medvedchuk's sites since at least 2015, when he was not yet a MP, but headed the pro-Russian "Ukrainian Choice" movement. After the "112 Ukraine" channel became under the control of Medvedchuk's retinue, Zharkykh became a host there.

"Druhaya Ukraina" has already started to conduct public anti-Ukrainian events in Russia. In particular, on 19 July in the Solzhenitsyn Centre of Russian Emigré Studies attended the round table "Ukrainian Russophobia: Origins and Overcoming Mechanisms".

Ukraine fugitives are currently joining the movement: political commentators from already closed pro-Russian TV channels, deputies of local councils from OPFL, and political technologists accused of treason and separatism. They managed to avoid punishment and leave Ukraine, some of them escaped after 24 February, 2022.

In March, Medvedchuk appeared via livestream of the propaganda TV channel RT and announced the creation of a new political movement and expanded his business in the Russian Federation for its financing.

Last year in April, the Security Service of Ukraine detained Medvedchuk. Before, the Lychakiv District Court of Lviv arrested Medvedchuk in absentia. Medvedchuk is suspected of treason and facilitating the activities of a terrorist organization. On 22 September, Ukraine exchanged 200 of its heroes for Medvedchuk.
