MP Ihor Kryvosheyev has tendered an application to quit the pro-presidential Servant of the People party.

"I submitted two applications: to the chairman of the political council of the Servant of the People party, Davyd Arakhamiya, that I'm resigning from the political council of the party, and to the chairman of the Servant of the People party, Olena Shulyak, that I'm quitting the party," Kryvosheyev said on Facebook.

The decision to leave the party "has been ripe for a long time", he said. The reason is the party's personnel policy.

"Everyone knows about the scandals with MPs Aristov and Tyshchenko... They have been punished and the issue seems to have been resolved – but we must admit that this is a personnel problem of the party, and it is systemic. Both of them are the result of the party's personnel policy," Kryvosheyev explained.

He added that he was ashamed that he had kept silent about it before.

"But there are things that cannot be hushed now. I am an opponent of Danylo Hetmantsev's initiatives, but he has an unprecedented party mandate to promote his ideas. It would be strange to publicly criticise him as a member of the party, which is why I decided to leave the Servant of the People party," the MP added.

Arakhamiya reacted to the video.

"I think we need the same video about leaving the faction, you have to be brave to the end," he wrote in the comments. To which Kryvosheyev replied: "I want to wait for the numerous Uzhhorod battalion to leave the faction, which had problems getting to work in Kyiv in March 2022. This is if we are talking about courage."

Kryvosheyev was elected to parliament in 2019 from the Servant of the People party. During the 2019 presidential election, he headed Zelenskyy's team in Transcarpathian Region. He was Zelenskyy's trustee in election constituency 68.

On 27 July, MPs revoked the mandate of Servant of the People MP Yuriy Aristov, who had recently returned from a holiday in the Maldives.
