The International Fencing Federation has supported Ukraine's position and allowed Olha Kharlan to continue competing at the World Championships in Milan, Ukraine's Minister of Youth and Sports Vadym Huttsayt has said.
"Thanks to the persistent efforts of the Ukrainian Fencing Federation and my appeal as a member of the Executive Committee of the International Federation, Olha Kharlan was allowed to participate in team competitions at the World Championships," the minister said.
He added that the consideration of her disqualification had been postponed.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian fencer Olha Kharlan would take part in the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
